Simple Business Website Application

We use "Google Forms" to collect the information for your website and Google My Business (Google Maps).

Best Practice

Most of the form is self-explanatory.

Before completing the form please consider and have prepared:

Do you want your business address shown on your website? Adding your address to the website will make it easier for existing and new customers to find your information. However, if you keep expensive equipment at your business address, you may not wish to have your address listed.

List of Areas You Cover? Ask most business owners and they will say "we will go anywhere for the right job". Okay, however you need to consider locations you will genuinely supply a reasonable service. A plumber might travel 30, 40 or 50 miles for a 'boiler installation' however, only a few miles for a 'leaking tap'. If we set your 'service area' at 50 miles you may get calls for a leaking tap 50-miles away. Irritating for you and the customer.

Areas covered can be a list of local areas, city or cities or you can tell us how many miles you will travel from your business address.

Opening Hours? Please list them by day i.e. Monday 9 to 5, Tuesday 9-6. Or you can state 24-hours or "open everyday 9 to 5 weekdays and closed on weekends"

We need an open/close time for every day of the week including the weekend.

About Your Business (Description - max 750 words)? - This is a description of your business and services. What you provide, why people should do business with you. We may change some of this to be better optimised for Google.

Services / Products Offered? This is a list of the services or products offered. For example, a Plumber may provide "general plumbing services" and "emergency plumbing services" and "Bathroom Installation".

Description of Products or and Services with Prices? This is where you can describe each service or product. What you do and why people should choose you. You can (optional) prices. We may change some of this to be better optimised for Google.

Preferred Domain Name? Typically, businesses choose a domain name that is either their company name (i.e. JacobPlumbing.co.uk) or the services they provide and location (i.e. BristolPlumber.co.uk) or a combination of both (i.e JacobPlumbingBristol.co.uk). The choice is yours. We can help advise on the best available domain for your business.

Important: You can only have a domain name that is available i.e. someone else doesn't own it. It is highly advisable NOT to have a domain name with a registered brand name in it (the brand owner will close the website down and likely take legal action).

If you already own a domain name please let us know that domain name.

Upload Logo? If you have a logo for your business, please upload it.

Upload any Photographs of Your Business? Potential customer would prefer to see images of your work. Even if they are just photos taken on your phone. They don't need to look like they were taken by a professional photographer. Please upload them.

However, if you do not have any images we can source copyright free images that relate to your business.

Upload any Videos of Your Business? If you have a video(s) of relating to your business please upload them.
